Los Angeles City Controller, City of Los Angeles
Now running for California State Controller, Galperin has been the Los Angeles City Controller since he was elected in 2013. During the pandemic, he created an array of resources to aid businesses and residents. He has pushed for more efficient, cost effective housing solutions to help get people off the streets. In 2013, he launched Control Panel L.A., which gives the public digital accesss to information about public spending and the city’s general assets and fiscal liabilities. Galperin is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and Loyola Law School, and he practiced law for 20 years before running for controller.
