As leader of Manatt’s IP Protection & Enforcement business unit, Michelle Cooke helps IP owners build, protect and monetize their assets internationally and in the digital arena. Cooke is a key strategic and legal advisor to major global clients, assisting in asset expansion across the globe and leading complex disputes in numerous jurisdictions. She focuses much of her work on branding, online content, digital assets, copyrights, international protection/enforcement and trade secrets, and has a particular market knowledge of the entertainment, media, consumer products and software industries.
Cooke offers innovative business-oriented counseling, including protecting IP in connection with COVID-19 products, identifying rights in AI, and enforcing digital content globally. She helps lead M&A deals and works with clients to evaluate IP assets, conduct risk assessments, exploit IP assets, as well as risk mitigation.
