Over the past year, he has successfully represented the County of Los Angeles against numerous lawsuits challenging the enforcement of emergency health orders, such as contact-tracing, stay-at-home orders, and orders restricting activities to reduce the spread of the virus. For example, Siegel successfully represented LA County against a Beverly Hills sushi restaurant after the county issued its COVID-19 contact-tracing order; and also obtained a preliminary injunction against a mega-church defying indoor service restrictions.
