Miller Barondess, LLP
With over 40 years of experience, Skip Miller is an accomplished litigator and trial lawyer. A major client for Miller and the firm is LA County and its Board of Supervisors. In conjunction with County Counsel, Miller handled the County’s enforcement of Governor Newsom’s emergency health orders amid COVID-19. He secured injunctions against cities attempting to prevent “Project Roomkey,” Newsom’s $150 million program to house homeless; obtained an injunction against a mega-church defying indoor service restrictions; and enforced County health orders on gyms refusing to follow restrictions. He also led negotiations in a historic agreement in federal court between the County and City of LA to shelter homeless people living in freeway encampments. Miller currently represents the County in litigation regarding photographs taken following the tragic helicopter crash that killed nine individuals, including Kobe Bryant and his daughter.
