Debra Pole is an award-winning trial attorney with extensive jury trial experience in federal and state courts involving mass tort litigation, class actions, and complex litigation. She is a partner in Sidley’s Los Angeles Litigation group and a former member of the firm’s Executive Committee. She trains, supervises, and manages many lawyers and paraprofessionals in the Products Liability and Mass Torts practice and is recognized globally as a leader in the products liability area. She is perhaps best known for supervising numerous defense law firms, both domestically and internationally, involved in complex pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. Pole has played a major role in many high profile trials throughout her career and has registered important victories. In the past year her most significant accomplishments have come in her work co-leading the Sidley team defending Gilead Sciences in a series of product liability actions challenging Gilead’s life-saving HIV medications.
