AEG to Fill Up With Fuelster
Mobile fuel delivery comes to L.A. Live via Fuelster Technologies Inc.

Fans at Staples Center and L.A. Live will now be able to get their cars gassed up while they’re watching events at the venues.

Anschutz Entertainment Group, which owns and operates the entertainment destination, has contracted with Porter Ranch-based Fuelster Technologies Inc. to offer mobile fuel delivery to patrons, the companies announced Feb. 20.

Customers can use Fuelster’s mobile app to order for vehicles parked at Staples Center- or L.A. Live-operated parking structures. A Fuelster technician will service the vehicle while the fan is inside the venue.

The deal is the first of its kind for AEG, the companies said in a joint statement, and it marks Fuelster’s first partnership with a professional sports complex.

“At AEG we’re always striving for new and innovative ways to deliver a superior fan experience at our world-class venues,” Nick Baker, chief operating officer of AEG Global Partnerships, said in a statement. “Live events and Fuelster’s one-of-a-kind technology will help us do just that.”

Lee Zeidman, president of Staples Center, Microsoft Theater and L.A. Live, said in a statement that “Fuelster sets a new benchmark for hospitality and convenience.”

The Fuelster app has a rating of 3.9 out of 5 on both the App Store and Google Play.

Fuelster does not charge a membership fee, and delivery is free. Fuel prices are competitive with gas stations downtown, according to the company.

Fuelster offers four grades of unleaded gasoline as well as diesel fuel. A customer can request a specific number of gallons or have the vehicle’s tank filled.

Fuelster, which was founded in 2017, said it saves customers on average 5 miles of driving to a gas station, which reduces carbon emissions.

The company also said it is working with the U.S. Forest Service and the nonprofit organization One Tree Planted to plant one tree for every 200 gallons of fuel it delivers.
