THE LATEST: In 2018, Olson was retained by USC’s Board of Trustees to lead an internal investigation concerning allegations of misconduct against campus gynecologist George Tyndall. He is also advising a confidential client on matters related to the college admission bribery scandal and defending a global automaker in a criminal grand jury investigation related to alleged product defects.

BACKGROUND: As a former federal prosecutor at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles, Olson counsels companies, boards and executives in criminal and civil matters brought by government enforcement agencies. He also advises corporate clients in connection with sensitive internal investigations. In addition, Olson represents clients in corporate litigation and regulatory issues.

WORTH NOTING: Olson is chairman of the World Trade Center of Los Angeles, a trustee of Occidental College and a board member of the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation. He was founding executive director of SelectUSA, the Commerce Department’s initiative to attract foreign investment.
