THE LATEST: As a leader of one of Hollywood’s premier talent agencies, Zimmer has been involved in efforts by agencies to reshape the industry. UTA last year received a $200 million investment from Investcorp and Canadian pension manager PSP Investments, according to Pitchbook.

BACKGROUND: In 1991, Zimmer co-founded UTA, which represents artists and provides corporate consulting, venture funding and strategic advisory services to companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500 firms. UTA has several business units, including brand strategy agency UTA Brand Studio and broadcast news agency Bienstock. The agency co-owns integrated marketing firm United Entertainment Group. UTA also represents esports stars through Press X and management company Everyday Influencer. Zimmer started the UTA Foundation to support volunteer efforts by agency employees.

WORTH NOTING: Zimmer began his career at age 19 in the mailroom at the William Morris Agency.
