THE LATEST: Romano is the co-chair of Crowell & Moring’s firmwide litigation group and is a member of its management board.
BACKGROUND: In addition to her leadership roles, Romano’s litigation and trial practice includes defending companies against consumer class actions, litigating on behalf of health care companies and representing companies in high-stakes litigation matters. Her clients include major health plans, retail and consumer-products companies, and professional services firms. She served as law clerk to Judge Mariana Pfaelzer of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
WORTH NOTING: Romano is the past president of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles. She served as the chair of strategic planning for the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles Foundation and on the board of trustees for the Los Angeles County Bar Association. She serves on the LACBA/WLALA joint task force on the retention and promotion of women and previously co-chaired the group.
