Tradesy Acquires Fitz, Announces Tradesy Closet Concierge

Tradesy Inc., Santa Monica-based developers of a website and mobile application for exchanging pre-worn women’s designer fashion, announced its acquisition of Fitz, a service that pairs customers with stylists who organize their closets and wardrobes. No financials were disclosed.

Following the acquisition, Tradesy also announced it has launched Tradesy Closet Concierge, an in-home wardrobe management service that provides stylists who will also consign clothes. The new service enables Tradesy to bring Fitz’s in-home wardrobe management expertise under its brand. Fitz is headquartered in New York City.

“We’ve combined this top-tier experience with a new Tradesy consignment service that makes selling even easier,” said Tracy DiNunzio, founder and chief executive of Tradesy, in a statement.

Tradesy has six million members and $80 million in funding from investors Richard Branson and Kleiner Perkins. Tradesy Closet Concierge serves the New York City area. The company said it plans to expand it to the rest of New York, surrounding states and Los Angeles by the end of the year.
