Virtual reality startup Upload raised a $4.5 million round led by Colopl and including General Catalyst, NetEase, and Sparkland Capital, reports TechCrunch. The funds will be used to expand the company’s co-working, education, and media operations.

Lens Replacement Startup Lensabl Raises Funding

Online lens replacement startup Lensabl raised a funding round of undisclosed amount from backers including Amplify.LA, Luma Launch, and angel investor JJ List, according to a press release. The company intends to use the funds to market its service.

FilmOn Settles Lawsuit with Broadcasters CBS, Fox, and NBC

Online television streaming service FilmOn of Beverly Hills settled its lawsuit with television broadcasters CBS, Fox, and NBC over its unlicensed rebroadcasting of live television, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed, but FilmOn withdrew its various court appeals against judgements that it broke copyright law.
