Stanley Black

Principal, Black Equities Group

Stanley Black has more than 50 years of experience as a developer and owner of income-producing real estate. As co-founder of KB Management, he developed more than 60 office and retail projects from 1955 to ’75. The majority of those properties were sold in the ensuing 10 years and the proceeds reinvested in retail and industrial properties across the country. Upon the death of his partner in 1985, Black formed Black Equities to continue investing in income-producing assets. Black Equities’ portfolio consists of investments in about 15 million square feet of improvements. Black and his late wife, Joyce, were active in numerous charities throughout the L.A. area and made notable contributions, including $13 million to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
