Mid-Wilshire data analytics and marketing research firm MarketCast has acquired Indianapolis rival Fizziology.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We have been fans of Fizziology for years. … They have been able to bring research discipline and technological innovation to the rapidly growing field of social analytics,” MarketCast Chief Executive Henry Shapiro said in a statement last week.

Both MarketCast and Fizziology serve the global entertainment industry.

MarketCast is a portfolio company of Kohlberg & Co., a New York private equity firm. MarketCast, which was founded in 1987, previously acquired New York research and strategy agency Insight Strategy Group in 2015. It has offices in New York, Boston and London.

Fizziology was launched in 2009 and has offices in Los Angeles; Nashville, Tenn.; and Louisville, Ken., as well as local market analysts around the world.
