Virgin Galactic Begins Test Flights of Commercial Spaceship

Virgin Galactic’s commercial spaceship, VSS Unity, took to the skies above the Mojave Desert on Thursday, the craft’s first test run since its predecessor SpaceShipTwo crashed and killed one of its pilots in 2014, reports the L.A. Business Journal. The flight was a so-called captive carry test in which the spaceship stayed attached to the WhiteKnightTwo carrier aircraft for the duration of the flight, from takeoff all the way through landing.

Job aggregation website Indeed has launched a site dedicated to L.A. tech positions called Indeed Prime, according to a press release. Indeed Prime offers access to a curated pool of passive job applicants based on coding skills, education and work experience.

Kin Community Hires Shauna Miller as Head of Programming

Multiplatform media company Kin Community has hired for former Penny Chic Chief Executive Shauna Miller as its director of original programming, reports Variety. She will oversee development, production and distribution of content on Kin’s owned-and-operated channels.
