San Francisco apartment listings site Zumper ranked Koreatown as the most popular neighborhood for L.A. apartment hunters. L.A. Weekly reported Tuesday that the neighborhood had affordability and an abundance of units working in its favor.

Koreatown had 15 percent more renter inquiries than the second place Mid-City West (incorporating Beverly Grove, Carthay and parts of the Miracle Mile). Hollywood Hills West was third on Zumper’s top ten list.

According to a Zumper spokesperson, one bedroom units were the most in-demand unit throughout Los Angeles, generating 40 percent of last month’s inquiries with a median price of $1,500. The second most in-demanded unit type was two bedrooms, producing 27 percent of inquiries with a median of $2,200.
