A long-stagnant housing project near the Ramon Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts is being revived.

The Los Angeles Downtown News reported Wednesday that Cimmarusti Holdings, a company that primarily owns dining franchises around Southern California, is pursuing plans to build a 22-story residential tower with 299 units on the site of its Burger King at Grand and Cesar E. Chavez avenues.

The project would also feature 8,000 square feet of street-level retail space and a garage with room for 408 vehicles and 411 bicycles, according to documents filed with the city. No timeline or budget have been revealed
