Journalist Sentenced to Two Years in Prison Over L.A. Times Hack

A federal judge sentenced former Reuters journalist Matthew Keys to two years in prison on Wednesday after he was convicted of conspiring to hack into the L.A. Times website to change a story, according to the Chicago Tribune. Keys, a former Tribune Co. employee, was fired by one of the company’s broadcast affiliates in 2010, two months before the hack. The L.A. Times is owned by Tribune.
