How did you come to own a sports team?

It’s a family business. Dr. Jerry Buss purchased the Lakers in 1979, fulfilling his goal of owning a team and creating a family business.

Is it an investment or more of a hobby?

We run the team as a business but have a passion for the sport.

Is it a good investment?

Yes, we have enjoyed success both on and off the court.

Other than winning, what’s the best thing about owning part of a sports team?

Connecting with the community and uniting a very large and diverse city under the Lakers’ purple and gold flag.

What’s the worst thing (besides losing)?

Disappointing the fans.

How many games a season do you attend?

We attend the majority of games.

What was your favorite team when you were growing up?

As a family, we attended USC football and L.A. Dodgers games, as well as thoroughbred horse racing at Santa Anita, Hollywood Park and Del Mar race tracks.
