Fandango: L.A.’s Fandango Inc., an online movie-ticket seller owned by NBCUniversal Inc., will launch a show time and ticketing app for the Apple Watch on April 24. It will be one of the first group of apps available for Apple Watch owners, and the only movie-related one, according to Fandango. The app will deliver barcoded tickets to customers’ Apple Watches for participating theaters, which can be scanned upon arrival.

KeyInfo/Wilcon: Key Information Systems Inc., a cloud and infrastructure provider in Agoura Hills, launched a high-speed, fiber-optic Internet ring designed for businesses with highly regulated or sensitive data requirements in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. The company partnered with L.A.’s Wilcon on the so-called “fiber ring,” which extends from Agoura Hills to Simi Valley to downtown Los Angeles to El Segundo, and back to Agoura Hills. The ring also connects to Wilcon’s 3,000-mile fiber network, which runs throughout Southern California from north of Los Angeles to San Diego.

TeenSafe: Santa Monica’s TeenSafe, which develops an app that lets parents track their kids’ online activity, has launched its service in Canada. TeenSafe’s subscription service allows parents to view their child’s incoming, outgoing and deleted text messages, Web browsing history, contacts and call logs, as well as activity on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Kik Messenger through a secure, online account.

Cinq Music: A new company has launched in Santa Monica to help artists and rights holders maximize their online earnings. In addition to managing music copyrights, Cinq Music also offers digital distribution and marketing services.

The company’s clients include Daddy Yankee, Master P and E-40.
