DWP Audit Stalls after Auditors Take Too Many Notes, City Hall Sources Say

City Hall Sources told the Los Angeles Times that an audit of two ratepayer-funded nonprofit groups co-run by the Department of Water and Power and its powerful union has stalled after the groups’ administrators objected to the volume of notes being taken by auditors. Administrators last year agreed to an audit, but with a catch: Auditors were not allowed to take or copy documents, leaving note-taking as their only option.
