THE MONEY: After 2011 death of John Anderson, the Business Journal is keeping his wife, Marion, on list based on previous years’ valuations and confirmation that the wealth remains in the family.

BUZZ: John Anderson Jr. now runs Topa Equities, name derived from father’s Topa Topa Ranch in Ojai, purchased in 1956. Marion, a lifelong philanthropist, has served on the boards of National Art Association, Phoenix House and Claremont McKenna College. Longtime board member and former co-chair of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, to which she and her late husband donated $50 million just before he died. Gave additional $10 million to the Hollywood hospital last year. Couple made gifts totaling more than $40 million to UCLA, his alma mater. UCLA’s business school was renamed the John E. Anderson School of Management in 1987. Began building fortune when he acquired exclusive rights in 1956 to distribute Budweiser in Los Angeles.
