How concerned are you about Iraq?

My concern is with the political instability in the region and the continuous civil strife among innocent Iraqis. More importantly, the United States has spent trillions of dollars on a war that has yet to bring democracy to Iraq.

I am concerned by what’s going on in Iraq – mostly about how the U.S. responds to it. I’m not anxious to see us get more involved. I don’t think it serves American interests. There’s plenty of nation-building to be done here at home.

I think the decision to invade Iraq was utterly stupid back in 2003, and even back in 1991 with the first Gulf War. I’m very concerned about the mayhem there as a human being but see no clear way that getting our troops involved again can lead to a sane solution. These Islamic sects are always going to fight no matter what is done.

I’m very concerned for the people of Iraq. They deserve some stability. The children in Iraq need the stability to have a chance of a promising future. I do feel the United States should not get involved from a military point of view. We already lost too many lives there. It’s like another Vietnam.

I am concerned that this is a lead-in to another escalation of our involvement and commitment of funds and personnel. It would be so difficult to extract ourselves again.
