Mutual funds are my primary investment vehicle. I like the diversification and do not have the time to play the stock-by-stock game. Within the fund environment, I am still able to focus on specific asset classes and industries that accomplish my goals.

I would invest in mutual funds due to the instant diversification that you get, not placing all your money in one company or stock. Assuming you have a longer time horizon to weather the bumps in the stock market, I believe mutual funds will outpace bonds and thus you will have a better potential for upside.

I think the smart money is on small-cap stocks and mutual funds. The small-cap market is relatively stable, the barriers to entry are not as high as with blue-chip stocks and the potential upside is quite strong.

I’m an aggressive investor, individuals stocks are my pick. I prefer individual stocks all the way. I like to do research and I have an in-depth understanding of the markets and I know when to get in and when to get out.

I am a very conservative investor and tend to like mutual funds because I can spread the risk and, most of the time, be assured of a steady if undramatic increase in my modest investments.
