Capital Infusion: Sanguine BioSciences Inc., a Valencia company that collects blood for use in medical research, has closed a $10 million funding round. The round was led by Santa Monica investment firm Invent Ventures and Hong Kong capital firm Heliant Ventures. The money will fund an upgrade in Sanguine’s equipment and blood gathering systems.
Industrial Property: Double Y LLC has purchased a Vernon industrial building for about $7.78 million from Barilev Investments. The 129,269-square-foot structure, at 5008 Boyle Ave., sits on a 4.13-acre plot. Double Y purchased the building as an owner-user and will do business as Y&N Apparel.
New Office: Clearpath Entertainment, a Baltimore-based event production and artist management firm, has opened an office in the Pellissier Building next to the Wiltern Theatre building in Koreatown. The new outpost is at 3790 Wilshire Blvd.
Residential Purchase: Jorge and Elena Palomares have acquired a 31-unit Hollywood apartment building for $5.2 million from Kopple Family Trust. The 20,044-square-foot property on a half-acre lot at 1900 Grace Ave. was built in 1954.

Gas Project: Aecom Technology Corp., a downtown L.A. engineering and technical services firm, has received a $15.6 million contract to provide management services for Ghana National Gas Co.’s Western Corridor Gas Infrastructure Development Project in the West African country. The contract is renewable annually.
Landed in L.A.: Priority One Jets LLC, a New York-headquartered private jet charter and related aviation services firm, has opened a downtown L.A. office. Alex Volis is in charge of the new outpost at 445 S. Figueroa St.
WEST LOS ANGELES
Brand-Building: Falcon Waterfree Technologies LLC, a West L.A. maker of waterless urinals, has named Duffey Petrosky as its agency of record. Duffey, a Farmington Hills, Mich.-based marketing firm, was selected by Falcon for its experience in branding and marketing work for companies focused on sustainable building technologies.
Marketing Move: Marketing firm Brighter Collective has moved its headquarters from Irvine to the Hercules Campus in Playa Vista. Brighter has occupied 15,000-square-foot Building Three, 12115 West Bluff Creek Drive, on the campus, which was developed by the Ratkovich Co. for tech and creative tenants.
