Jacobs Wins Large Air Force Contract

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has won a support services contract from the U.S. Air Force Materiel Command that could be worth as much as $1.9 billion over seven years.

The Pasadena company on Tuesday said it will provide expanded support services for the command’s weapon systems, components and support equipment. Jacobs has provided program management, specialty engineering and other support to the command since 2005.

“We have a longstanding relationship with our Air Force customers, and we are excited to have this opportunity to build on our ongoing support and contribute to the success of the AFMC mission,” said Chief Executive Craig Martin in a statement.

Shares were down 28 cents, or less than 1 percent, to $44.54 in midday trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
