Myricom Inc., an Arcadia developer of hardware used in high-performance computing, has named Nanette Boden as its chief executive and president.

Boden has been at Myricom since the company was founded in 1994. She had been chief financial officer and a board director since 2001. She replaces Charles Seitz, who resigned as CEO to pursue other interests but will remain a director.

The company is a California Institute of Technology spinoff that makes 10-gigabit Ethernet products.

“Nan is a proven executive with an impressive track record of contributing to Myricom’s early success in high performance computing solutions, and taking the technology and company to the next level,” Chairman Robert Henigson said in a statement. “This step provides the leadership depth and strength we will need for the next phase of growth.”

Boden received her masters of science and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Caltech, and her bachelor of science degree in applied mathematics from the University of Alabama.

Myricom competes with much larger companies such as Intel and Broadcom.
