Santa Monica architecture firm WWCOT has merged with national design firm DLR Group to create a new company.

The merged company, named DLR Group WWCOT, brings together WWCOT’s expertise in health and civic buildings with DLR Group’s larger size. WWCOT has four offices in California while DLR Group has 14 offices across the United States.

DLR Group WWCOT will be led by architect Adrian Cohen in the Santa Monica office.

“By joining DLR Group, we create one of the pre-eminent design firms in the nation,” Cohen said in a statement. “Our clients will continue to receive the same level of design and benefit from a depth of new design talent.”

WWCOT projects include the Edward R. Royball Learning Center, Culver City Senior Center, Indio Teen Center, Kaiser Vineyard Medical Office Building, and the restoration of the Bovard Administration Building at USC.

In 2009, the 140-person firm generated more than $25 million in revenue.
