Jacobs Wins Navy Contract

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. on Tuesday announced a warfare training equipment contract with the U.S. Navy with potential value of $241 million.

Under the five-year contract, a subsidiary of the Pasadena technical, professional, and construction services company will provide experts to help the military develop, install and test warfare training equipment and software.

The contract is through the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division’s Combat Environment Simulation division based in China Lake.

“We are very pleased at the opportunity to continue providing our support to the CES organization in its mission to provide high technology products and services to the warfighter,” Chief Executive Craig Martin said in a statement.

Shares closed up 84 cents, or 2 percent, to $39.38 on the New York Stock Exchange.
