eHarmony Moveing from Pasadena to Santa Monica

Worldwide on-line dating site eHarmony is moving its corporate headquarters out of Pasadena to Santa Monica, city officials confirmed late Monday.

All 250 of the company’s employees will relocate from eHarmony’s building, 888 E. Walnut St. – where it was based for about five years – by the end of this year, city officials said.

The company, which claims to have over 20 million registered users, was founded in 2000. While eHarmony provides very little to the city in direct sales tax revenue, Pasadena greatly benefited from having the jobs in the city, with the South Lake business area the main beneficiary.
