Phelps Group, a Santa Monica integrated marketing firm, has named DJ Grimes interactive art director. Previously, Grimes was interactive art director at Web Advanced, an Irvine marketing and business consulting firm.

Berbay Corp., a West L.A. marketing firm, has named Lauren Shore marketing account manager. Previously, Shore was brand communications coordinator at PMK-BNC, a West Hollywood PR firm.

ARCHITECTURE

Hraztan Zeitlian has been named to L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa’s Design Advisory Panel, which reviews significant capital projects in the city. Zeitlian is a principal in the Santa Monica office of DLR Group Wwwcot, an architecture and design firm.

BANKING & FINANCE

Union Bank, the banking arm of San Francisco-based parent UnionBanCal Corp., has promoted Michael Feldman to head of California branch banking and executive vice president in its downtown L.A. office. Previously, Feldman was a sales and service executive across the banking network.

Promerica Bank, a downtown L.A. bank, has named John Murillo vice president and senior relationship manager. Previously, Murillo was director of sales at Cal National Bank.

FocalPoint Partners LLC, a West L.A. investment banking firm, has named Michael Del Pero vice president in the plastics and advanced materials group. Previously, Del Pero was a vice president at McGladrey Capital Markets LLC, a Costa Mesa-based investment banking firm.

LAW

Loeb & Loeb LLP, a Century City-based law firm, has named Arash Khalili, Benjamin King and Alyse Pelavin to partners in its Century City office. Previously, Khalili and Pelavin were associates, and King was senior counsel at the firm.

Quateman LLP, a Century City law firm, has named Donna Mo an associate. Previously, Mo was an associate at Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP, a Philadelphia-based law firm.

Pircher Nichols & Meeks, a Century City-based law firm, has named Melissa Bakewell an associate in its Century City office. Previously, Bakewell was an associate at Greenberg Glusker Fields Claman & Machtinger LLP, a Century City law firm.

Alston & Bird LLP, an Atlanta-based law firm, has named Ethan Millar partner in its downtown L.A. office, where he will launch a tax practice. Previously, Millar was a partner in the firm’s Atlanta office.

Ropers Majeski Kohn & Bentley PC, a Redwood City-based law firm, has promoted Saundra Wootton to partner in its downtown L.A. office. Previously, Wootton was an associate at the firm.

NON-PROFIT

Computers for Youth, a New York-based non-profit seeking to improve the home learning environment for low-income children, has named Michelle Hahn executive director of its L.A. office. Previously, Hahn was executive director at Students Run LA, a non-profit that trains at-risk youth to run the Los Angeles Marathon.

REAL ESTATE

Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services Inc., an Encino-based real estate investment firm, has promoted Brandon Michaels to vice president of investments in its Encino office. Previously, Michaels was associate vice president of investments at the firm.

Studley, a New York-based commercial tenant advisory firm, has promoted Andrew Lustgarten and Michael Shuken to corporate managing director in its downtown L.A. office. Previously, Lustgarten and Shuken were managing directors at the firm.
