Heery International, an Atlanta-based architecture and construction services firm, has named Julie Barrett business development director at its Long Beach office. Previously, Barrett was business development director at Wwcot Architects, a Santa Monica-based architecture firm.

BANKING & FINANCE

Colony Capital LLC, a Santa Monica-based investment firm, has named Justin Chang a principal. Previously, Chang was partner at TPG Capital, an investment firm in Fort Worth, Texas.

ENTERTAINMENT

Fox Soccer Channel, a West L.A.-based cable channel, has promoted Joshua Glassel to vice president of programming and acquisitions. Previously, Glassel was director of acquisitions and programming at the channel.

Hasbro Studios, the L.A. production studio for toymaker Hasbro Inc., has named Finn Arnesen senior vice president of international distribution and development. Previously, Arnesen was previously senior vice president of original series and international development at TBS International.

GOVERNMENT

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has appointed Christine W. Byrd, Scott M. Gordon and Laura R. Walton as judges in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Previously, Byrd was a partner at Irell & Manella LLP, a Century City-based law firm. Gordon was a court commissioner for the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Walton was a deputy district attorney in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

HEALTH CARE

Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, a 431-bed Burbank hospital, has promoted Julie Sprengel to chief operating officer. Previously, Sprengel was an associate administrator.

HOSPITALITY

David Hoffman was named manager of Montage Beverly Hills and Victorio Gonzalez was named director of food and beverage at the hotel. Previously, Hoffman was director of rooms at Montage Beverly Hills and Gonzalez was director of food and beverage at Montage Laguna Beach.

LAW

Greenberg Traurig LLP, a Miami-based law firm, has named Adam Siegler of counsel in its Santa Monica office. Previously, Siegler, a major in the U.S. Army Reserve, was deputy command judge advocate, 11th Military Police Brigade, Task Force MP North in Baghdad, Iraq.

Levene Neal Bender Rankin & Brill LLP, a Century City law firm, has promoted Todd M. Arnold, Michelle S. Grimberg, Juliet Y. Oh and Jacqueline I. Rodriguez to partners, and has named John-Patrick M. Fritz an associate. Previously, Arnold, Grimberg, Oh and Rodriguez were associates at the firm. Fritz was a law clerk for U.S. bankruptcy Judge Maureen A. Tighe for the Central District of California.

Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP, a Washington, D.C.-based law firm, has named Brian R. Michael counsel in the firm’s downtown L.A. office. Previously, Michael was an assistant U.S. attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Central District of California.

Horvitz & Levy LLP, an Encino civil appellate law firm, has named Andrea A. Ambrose and Jason J. Jarvis. Previously, Ambrose was an associate at Latham & Watkins LLP, a downtown L.A.-based law firm. Jarvis was an associate at Seyfarth Shaw LLP, a Chicago-based law firm.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art has named Cynthia Janos director of its capital and endowment campaign. Previously, Janos was founder of Cynthia Janos Design, an L.A. interior architecture and design firm.

Town Hall Los Angeles, a downtown L.A. non-profit producer of public issue forums, has named Marian Shima vice president of public affairs and programs. Previously, Shima was executive director of public affairs for the Los Angeles Times.

REAL ESTATE

Lee & Associates, a Harrisonburg, Va.-based commercial real estate services firm, has named Tony Naples associate at its City of Commerce office. Previously, Naples was a broker at Grubb & Ellis Co., a Santa Ana-based real estate services firm.
