DOWNTOWN L.A.

Engineering Merger: Aecom Technology Corp., a downtown L.A.-based provider of technical and management support services, has acquired Lake Forest-based Lim & Nascimento Engineering Corp., also known as LAN Engineering, which specializes in transportation infrastructure projects for public clients. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

LOS ANGELES

Bank Funds: Broadway Federal Bank, an L.A. bank that serves the South L.A. and Mid-City neighborhoods, has received a $696,589 Bank Enterprise Award from the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund, administered by the U.S. Treasury. The Bank Enterprise Award Program was created in 1994 to support Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.-insured institutions that finance and support community and economic development.

WESTSIDE

CENTURY CITY

New Outpost: Kansas City, Mo.-based AMC Entertainment Inc., a movie theater chain operator, has opened a film office in Century City. Programming President Robert J. Lenihan will oversee the new office, at 2121 Avenue of the Stars.

On the Clock: Gearys Beverly Hills, a luxury brands retailer in Beverly Hills, will open a Rolex Store later this year for the holiday season in Century City. The shop, at Westfield Century City Shopping Center, will be the first Rolex-only store in Los Angeles County.

WESTWOOD

Lease Deal: Law firm Bergman & Dacey Inc. has signed a $2 million lease for Westwood office space with Equity Office Properties. The lease covers 8,000 square feet in the Oppenheimer Tower, at 10880 Wilshire Blvd.

WEST LOS ANGELES

Office Pickup: Altemus Co. and a group of buyers have acquired a West L.A. office property for $5.8 million from an entity of Champion Development Group. The three-story office building, at 2100 Sawtelle Blvd., was built in 1978 and renovated in 2008.

SAN FERNANDO VALLEY

WOODLAND HILLS

Office Property: Younan Properties Inc. has purchased a Woodland Hills office center for $11.9 million from Value Home Loan Inc. The WarnerView Center, a Class A office property built in 1981, recently underwent a $1.5 million upgrade.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE

Landed: IPayment, a payment processing services business, has signed a lease with TIAA CREF for office space in the Westlake North Business Park in Westlake Village. The lease covers 31,665 square feet of space at 30721 Russell Ranch Road.

CALABASAS

Industrial Property: Jeff Cooper Architects has sold a Calabasas industrial property for $3 million to investment entity Dawat-e-Hadiyah. The property, at 5177 Douglas Fir Road, includes 4,200 square feet of office space and 8,400 square feet of industrial space.

EL SEGUNDO

Beauty Awards: Products by Murad Inc., an El Segundo maker of skin care products, have earned honors from Self and Star magazines. Self readers voted Murad’s Intensive Wrinkle Reducer for eyes as the best anti-aging cream. Star’s beauty editors named the company’s Age Reform Intensive Resurfacing Peel as the best face peel.

Data Center: Equinix Inc., a Foster City-based data services company, has opened a $95 million data center in El Segundo. Called LA4, it’s the fourth Los Angeles County center for the company. Equinix also a facility in El Segundo facility and two in downtown Los Angeles.

TORRANCE

Patched In: Bob Gold & Associates Inc., a Torrance PR and marketing firm, has added Latens to its client roster. Latens, which makes security software for cable and online TV operators, is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
