Two-Year Growth Rate: 307%

To keep up with growth, Chief Executive Saskia Strick will move her company from Santa Monica to Van Nuys next month.

Secret to Success? With the click of a button, a (customer’s) shopping cart is seamlessly transferred to a user-friendly branded checkout. The company guarantees U.S. merchants against fraud, provides shipping to 230 destinations across the globe and offers multilingual customer service. We work with more than 220 merchants, including Bebe.com and Jockey.com.

Long-Term Strategy? With the launch of MyAmericanShipper.com, International Checkout will enter the parcel-forwarding business. The service will boast shipping rates averaging 25 percent lower than competitors.

Growth Potential? International Checkout projects revenues of more than $10 million in 2010. Key factors driving this growth include more online consumers overseas, implementation of a single-page checkout and pricing in 34 currencies. Given the nature of its services, the limitless scope of the Internet and continuing globalization, International Checkout does not project a limit to its revenues.

Los Angeles Forever? The company will relocate from Santa Monica to Van Nuys on Dec. 1 to increase warehouse and office space by more than 400 percent. The company’s headquarters will remain in Los Angeles County, but additional locations outside of the United States are planned in the next two years.
