RNL, a Denver-based architectural design firm, has named John Leopardi studio head and senior associate, and Ron Schafer design lead in its downtown L.A. studio. Leopardi was previously associate with the firm. Schafer was senior designer.

Po-Sun Chen has joined ValleyCrest Design Group, a Calabasas-headquartered landscape architecture practice, as managing director. Chen was previously executive director at WD Partners, a Dublin, Ohio, architecture and engineering firm for retail and restaurant businesses.

The downtown L.A. office of HNTB Architecture has named Steve Chung senior project designer; Klaudia Kurniadi, Sang Lee, Ruben Markarian architects; Francesca Perazzelli senior project architect; Guatam Shenoy senior project manager; Rajeev Tillu senior project architect; Katie Velasco recruiter of program and construction management services; Clifford Wong senior project manager; and Darlene Wong assistant department manager of program and construction management services. Previously, Chung was principal and senior designer at RTKL Associates Inc., a Baltimore-headquartered architecture, engineering and urban design firm. Banking & Finance

Rollie Vetterick has joined downtown L.A.-based 1st Enterprise Bank as senior
vice president of customer service and relationship management. Vetterick was
previously senior vice president in a similar role at US Bank in downtown Los Angeles.


Wonacott Communications, a West L.A.-based public relations and communications agency, has hired Palmira Farrow as account supervisor. Farrow was previously public relations coordinator with Electronic Arts, a video game publisher headquartered in Redwood City.


Elizabeth A. Evans has been named principal in the downtown L.A. office of Analysis Group, a Boston consulting company that provides economic, financial and business expertise to law firms, corporations and government agencies. Evans was previously vice president with the company.


Dean Hadaegh has been promoted to chief technology officer and senior vice president of administration for the Tennis Channel, a Santa Monica-based cable television channel. Hadaegh was previously chief technology officer and vice president with the network.

Live Nation, a downtown L.A.-based concert promoter, has named Seth Matlins global chief marketing officer. John Rostas president of global ventures and Brian Yost president of onsite products. Previously, Matlins was global chief marketing officer with Creative Artists Agency, a Century City-based talent agency. Rostas was principal of Touch Worldwide, an international business consulting and communication strategy firm. Yost was vice president of development and corporate officer of Harrah's Entertainment, a Las Vegas gaming company.

Health Care

Redstone, an Alhambra-based senior living organization, has named Becky Happach and Lindsay Rees senior living counselors, Stephanie Rees director of sales and Kendra Sanchez marketing assistant. Previously, Happach was sales representative at Dickson Podley Realtors, a San Gabriel Valley real estate company. Lindsay Rees was senior sales counselor at Moldaw Family Residences in Palo Alto. Stephanie Rees was sales analyst with New Life Management and Development Inc., a senior living community in Mount Laurel, N.J. Sanchez was a real estate assistant at Coldwell Banker, an international real estate services company.


Cherie Y. Song has been named an associate at the Century City office of McGuireWoods LLP, a Richmond, Va. law firm. Previously, Song was an associate at Liner Yankelevitz Sunshine & Regenstreif LLP, a Westwood law firm.

Lindsay Conner has joined the West L.A. headquarters of Manatt Phelps & Phillips LLP as a partner in the entertainment and media practice. Conner was previously head of entertainment law practice at Dickstein Shapiro LLP, a Washington, D.C. law firm.

Ervin Cohen & Jessup LLP, a Beverly Hills law firm, has promoted Ara A. Babaian, Rodney C. Lee and Jeffrey A. Merriam-Rehwald to partners. Previously, all three were associates at the firm.

Thomas J. Daly has been appointed president of the Pasadena Bar Association. Daly is senior partner of Christie Parker & Hale LLP, a Pasadena intellectual property law firm.

Michelman & Robinson LLP, an Encino law firm, has named Torin A Dorros and Ivan Tjoe senior counsels, and Bradley H. Mindlin of counsel. Dorros was previously founder of Torin Dorros, New York entertainment and corporate law firm. Tjoe was partner at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP, a downtown L.A. law firm. Daniel McIntosh has been appointed partner and chairman of the corporate practice group in the downtown L.A. and Century City offices of Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Nastis LLP. McIntosh was previously co-chairman of entertainment and technology group in the downtown L.A. office of Morrison & Foerster LLP, a San Francisco law firm.

The downtown L.A. office of Klinedinst PC, a San Diego law firm, has named Jose A. Mendoza associate in its real estate practice group. Mendoza was previously litigation counsel at Coldwell Banker, an international real estate services company.


Hurrah! Marketing, a Los Angeles marketing company in the advertising and entertainment industries, has named Carol Eisenrauch president and head of global business development. Eisenrauch was previously global business development executive of Promax/BDA, an industry organization for TV promotion, marketing and broadcast design executives.


Jesse Jauregui has been appointed to the board of the Mexican American Bar Foundation, an Los Angeles non-profit providing financial assistance to men and women of Chicano and Latino heritage who intend to pursue careers in law. Jauregui is partner in the downtown L.A. office of Alston & Bird, a national law firm based in Atlanta.

Optimist Youth Homes & Family Services, a downtown L.A. non-profit treatment and education center for at-risk children, has appointed Jim McDonnell to its governing board. McDonnell is a first assistant chief in the Los Angeles Police Department.

Real Estate

Lowe Enterprises, a Brentwood real estate investment, development and management firm, has named Alex Virtue director of its workout services group. Virtue previously served as director with Merrill Lynch's real estate investment banking group.


Green Dot Corp., a Los Angeles company selling retail prepaid debit card products, has hired Will Sowell as chief operating officer. Sowell was previously vice president of prepaid products at GE Money.


Daniel S. Kim has been named chief executive of L.A.-based Nexon America, the North American publishing arm of Nexon Group, a South Korean interactive entertainment software and online game producer. Kim was previously executive vice president for the group's global content strategy division in Korea.

Maria Klawe has been named to the board of Microsoft Corp., the Redmond, Wash. computer software technology company. Klawe is president of Harvey Mudd College in Claremont.
