The downtown L.A. office of KPMG LLP has named Zulema Garcia, Pierre M. Kahn, Roger A. Martinez and Lisa Dianne Watson partners. Garcia, Martinez and Watson were previously senior managers with the firm. Kahn was director.


Dan Dieffenbach has joined Mile 9, a Calabasas advertising agency, as chief creative officer and managing partner. Dieffenbach was previously senior vice president of marketing at Fox Sports Net in Beverly Hills.

Banking & Finance

Jason Obradovich has joined Manhattan Beach-based Kinecta Federal Credit Union as vice president of secondary marketing and risk analytics. Obradovich was previously executive vice president of financial strategies at Countrywide.

Wells Fargo has named Danny Chang district manager for its Pacific Gateway region, which covers Bell, Commerce, Downey, Huntington Park, Norwalk, South Gate, Vernon and South Los Angeles. Chang was previously sales development consultant for the company's professional development program.


The Occidental College board has named Jonathan Veitch president. Veitch was previously dean of Eugene Lang College: The New School for Liberal Arts in New York.


Thinkwell Group, a Burbank-based company that creates experience-based entertainment for theme parks, museums, casinos, and retail and resort destinations, has named Danny Hartigan director of creative. Hartigan previously served as creative director for the new Heineken Experience in Amsterdam with BRC Imagination Arts, a Burbank design and production company specializing in museums, corporate visitor centers and cultural heritage sites.

Xiomara Wiley has joined Universal Studios Hollywood as senior vice president of marketing and sales. Wiley was previously vice president of marketing for the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim.


Peter A. Donnellan has been appointed to the Torrance Airport Commission. Donnellan is a vice president at NAI Capital, an Encino-headquartered Southern California commercial real estate firm.

Health Care

L.A. Care Health Plan, an L.A.-based public health plan, has appointed Philip Browning, Jim Mangia and John F. Schunhoff to board members and Thomas Klitzner chairman. Browning is director of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services. Mangia is president of St. John's Well Child and Family Center, a health care center for low-income residents in Los Angeles. Schunhoff is interim director of the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services and professor at the USC School of Policy, Planning and Development. Klitzner is pediatric cardiologist at Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA and chief of pediatric cardiology at UCLA.


Jesse M. Caryl has been named partner in the downtown L.A. office of Ford & Harrison LLP, an Atlanta-based national labor and employment law firm. Caryl was previously senior counsel of the firm.

Michelman & Robinson LLP, an Encino law firm, has named Tina M. Alleguez of counsel and Andrew H. Selesnick partner. Alleguez and Selesnick were previously co-founders of Alleguez & Selesnick LLP, an Encino law firm.

Foley & Mansfield PLLP, a Minneapolis-headquartered national law firm, has named Keith M. Ameele, Melanie L. Ameele, Brenda M. Brooks and Lisa Anne Coe partners in its Pasadena office. Previously, the Ameeles, Brooks and Coe were associates with the firm.

Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP, a downtown L.A.-headquartered national law firm, has promoted Geoff DeBoskey, Kyle Mathews and Whitney Jones Roy to partners in its downtown office, and Ronda D. Jamgotchian to partner in the Century City office. Deboskey, Jamgotchian, Mathews and Roy were associates with the firm.

The Century City office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, a Chicago-headquartered law firm, has promoted Gregg A. Fisch, Michael D. Mandel, Robert B. Milligan and Regina A. Musolino to partners in its labor and employment department. Fisch, Mandel, Milligan and Musolino were previously associates with the firm.

Real Estate

Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services, an Encino-based real estate services firm, has named Scott Lamontagne regional manager of its Encino office and western director of special assets services division. Lamontagne was previously regional manager for the firm's downtown L.A. office.


Mixed Signals, an El Segundo company providing digital content monitoring solutions, has promoted Terri Allegretto to director of marketing and sales operations and Steve Liu to vice president of product management and business development. Allegretto was previously marketing manager with the company. Liu was director of product management.

Matthew S. Collier has joined Symark International, an Agoura Hills-headquartered global information security company specializing in identity and access management solutions, as executive vice president of worldwide field operations. Collier previously served as president of Electronic Sensor Technology, a Thousand Oaks developer of chemical vapor analysis technology.

Schematic, an interactive marketing agency co-headquartered in Baldwin Village and New York, has hired Baron Conway as senior vice president of client services in its Baldwin Village office. Conway was previously group director of global business development at Organic, a San Francisco digital communications company.


The food industry management program at the USC Marshall School of Business has honored Larree Renda as the food industry executive of the year. Renda is executive vice president, chief strategist and administrative officer of Safeway Inc. The award will be presented at the school's annual graduation banquet in April.
