City National Bank has appointed Margie Minter vice president and manager in its Chatsworth banking office. Previously, Minter served as a Washington Mutual vice president for the Temecula region.
Century City commercial real estate investment banking firm George Smith Partners has named Shawn Visutsiri vice president. Previously, Visutsiri served as senior vice president at El Segundo firm Halcyon Real Estate Investors.
THQ Inc., an Agoura Hills developer and publisher of video games, has named Danny Bilson executive vice president of core games; Doug Clemmer executive vice president of kids, family and casual games; Ian Curran global publishing executive vice president; and Steve Dauterman senior vice president, online. Previously, Bilson was senior vice president of creative development. Clemmer was senior vice president of the ValuSoft value-priced game publishing unit and THQ Wireless. Curran was executive vice president, international. Dauterman was senior vice president of product development in Asia Pacific.
Starz Media LLC, a Burbank-based entertainment production and distribution company, has promoted Adam Zeller to director of digital media. Previously, Zeller was senior manager of digital marketing at the company.
Dr. Jagat Narula has been named medical director of the Memorial Heart & Vascular Institute at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in Long Beach. Narula will also continue to work as chief of the cardiology division at UC Irvine School of Medicine.
Arent Fox LLP, a Washington, D.C.-based law firm, has named Aram Ordubegian as a partner in the bankruptcy and financial restricting group at the firm's downtown L.A. office. Previously, Ordubegian was a partner at Weinstein Weiss & Ordubegian LLP, a Century City law firm.

William Acevedo has been appointed to the board of Healthy Child Healthy World, a West L.A. non-profit organization that targets household hazardous chemicals that may cause or contribute to chronic diseases and illnesses in young children. Acevedo is a partner at Oakland-based law firm Wendel Rosen Black & Dean LLP.
The Tournament of Roses Foundation, a Pasadena non-profit organization that oversees the Tournament of Roses parade, has named Wellington Chen president. Chen is executive vice president and director of corporate banking for Pasadena-headquartered East West Bank.
Richard Danzig, Richard Gephardt, Michael Lynton, and Hector Ruiz have been named to the board of the Rand Corp., a Santa Monica non-profit research organization. Danzig is chairman of the Center for New American Security, a Washington, D.C., national security think tank. Gephardt is a senior counsel at DLA Piper LLP, a Chicago-based law firm. Lynton is chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment. Ruiz is chairman of Global Foundries, a semiconductor manufacturing company.
Breathe LA, a Miracle Mile non-profit organization focused on clean air and healthy lungs, has named Eileena James chairwoman, Richard Barbers chairman-elect, and Kevin P. Hall and Kelly K. Wu board members. James recently retired from Golden State Mutual Life Insurance Co. in West Adams. Barbers is associate medical director of the USC Asthma and Allergy Center and medical director of the USC Lung Transplantation Program. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art has named Terry Semel co-chairman, and Gabriel Brener, Brian Grazer and Dasha Zhukova trustees. Semel is chairman of investment firm Windsor Media. Brener is chairman of Brener International Group, a Beverly Hills-based investment company. Grazer is co-founder of TV and film production company Imagine Entertainment. Zhukova is founder of Moscow non-profit art space the Garage Centre for Contemporary Culture.
