CytRx’s CFO Resigned, Replacement Named

CytRx Corp. said Tuesday Mitchell Fogelman resigned as chief financial officer and John Caloz, who had been chief accounting officer had been promoted to succeed him.

CytRx said Fogelman resigned Dec. 31 for personal reasons, the Los Angeles-based drug developer said.

Caloz, who been with CytRx since October 2007, previously worked for Canadian drug developer OccuLogix Inc. and Chatsworth medical device maker Iris International Inc. among other companies.

“John brings extensive experience with publicly held health care companies and has proven his abilities while working as CytRx’s chief accounting officer,” Chief Executive Steven A. Kriegsman said in a statement.

CytRx shares were up 1 cent, or 3.5 percent, to 29 cents in morning trading on the Nasdaq.
