Networked entertainment technology developer BridgeCo Inc. said it has raised $7.5 million in a new venture capital round.

The El Segundo company builds hardware and software products, including its JukeBlox technology platform, which connect consumer electronics such as iPod docking stations and kitchen radios to home networks and the Internet.

Earlybird Venture Capital and Christian Wenger co-led the round and were joined by Brian Long, a general partner with Atlantic Bridge.

Jordan Watters, senior vice president of sales and marketing, said in a statement that the program would allow BridgeCo to expand the number of consumer devices serviced by the company’s technology.

“Our new financing allows us to expand our program by bringing on additional partners and adding infrastructure to support customers,” Watters said in a statement.

BridgeCo previously raised $59 million in private equity and debt funding, from Earlybird, Advent Venture Partners, Balderton Capital, Cipio Partners, Fidelity Ventures, Intel Capital and Wellington Partners.
