Northrop Grumman Corp. announced Thursday that it won three large equipment and consulting contracts, including a $120 million order for targeting and sensor systems from the U.S. military.

The Los Angeles defense contractor said the $120 million contract was for its multi-sensor Litening Gen 4, a laser target-designating, surveillance and navigation system. It will be used by the Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve Command and Marine Corps.

Separately, Northrop said its Sperry Marine unit has been selected by Russia’s Novorossiysk Shipping Co. to supply integrated bridge navigation and communication systems for 10 new tankers being built in Korea and China. The deal’s value was not disclosed.

Northrop shares close up 77 cents, or 1 percent, to $63.17 in trading Thursday on the Nasdaq.
