Banking & Finance

Daniel Anderson has joined Wells Fargo Private Bank in Beverly Hills as wealth management director for the Beverly Hills and Brentwood regions. Anderson previously served as senior vice president and wealth management regional sales manager for Santa Barbara Bank & Trust.

CapitalSource, a commercial lender headquartered in Chevy Chase, Md., has hired Donika Schnell as senior development officer for the health care and specialty finance group. Schnell will be working at offices, including Westlake Village, El Segundo and Pasadena. Previously, Schnell was vice president of business development for Textron Inc., a Providence, R.I.-based aircraft, industrial and financial services business.

Nara Bancorp Inc. has appointed Cliff Sung chief credit officer. Sung was previously senior vice president and senior credit administrator with the bank.

Construction

Cumming Corp., a Los Angeles-headquartered construction management and consulting company, has hired Bill Foulkes as vice president of project management, health care, in its downtown L.A. office. Foulkes previously served as senior manager in the Seattle office of health care company Hammes Co.

Kevin D. Kosenthal has been appointed executive director of Associated Builders & Contractors-California Cooperation Committee, a construction trade organization that provides labor compliance services to the non-union public works sector. Rosenthal was previously director of government affairs for the Los Angeles-Ventura County chapter of ABC.

Engineering

Andrew J. Willrodt has been named an associate in the Woodland Hills office of Hall & Foreman Inc., an Irvine-based engineering firm. Previously, Willrodt was project director with the firm.


Entertainment

Immediate Music, a Santa Monica-based company that produces original music for feature film trailers, has hired John Samuel Hanson and Mark Phillips as in-house composers, and Emily Weber as director of operations. Previously, Hanson and Phillips were freelance composers. Weber was manager of operations with RipTide Music, a Los Angeles music licensing and publishing company.

Law

Paul L. Basile Jr. has been appointed chairman of the taxation section of the
Beverly Hills Bar Association. Basile is a partner at Edelstone & Basile LLP, a
Century City law firm specializing in tax and business planning.

Manatt Phelps & Phillips LLP, a law and consulting firm, has named Julian Gresser counsel for the land, environment and energy division in its Los Angeles office. Previously, Gresser was chief executive of the Energy Voyager Group, a non-profit organization focused on world energy issues.

Winston & Strawn LLP, a commercial law firm, has named David Stern partner in its Los Angeles office. Stern was previously a partner at law firm Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP.

Daniel J. Taylor has joined the Los Angeles office of law firm Pircher Nichols & Meeks as associate in the litigation department. Taylor was previously an associate with Quintana Law Group, a Woodland Hills law firm.

Media

Jacked Inc., a Santa Monica broadcast company, has hired Andy Castin as director of partner management, and Anthony Schaller as chief technology officer and executive vice president of product development. Castin was previously senior interactive media producer at NBC Universal. Schaller was a consultant for mobile phone company Nokia.

Non-Profit

Dubnoff Center for Child Development, a North Hollywood non-profit special education school and mental health facility, has elected Robert Wasserman to its board. Wasserman is a director in the West Los Angeles office of Studley, a tenant advisory firm.

Victor Leslie has been named commander of the Salvation Army's Southern California division, working out of its downtown L.A. office. Leslie was previously finance secretary for the Salvation Army's western region.

Real Estate

George Smith Partners, a Century City commercial real estate investment banking firm, has hired Calvin Lee as assistant vice president. Lee was previously a broker at real estate firm Promax Commercial.

Paul S. Rutter has been hired as executive vice president and general counsel of Thomas Properties Group Inc., a Los Angeles-based real estate company. Previously, Rutter served as executive vice president of major transactions at Maguire Properties Inc., a Los Angeles-based real estate company.

Megan Miller has been named assistant director in the West Los Angeles office of Studley, a tenant advisory firm. Miller was previously an associate with NAI Olympia Partners in Indianapolis.

Retail

Ziba Beauty, an Artesia-based manufacturer of beauty products, has named Piero Brocarrdo director of finance, Chris Howell director of operations, Anna Meadows director of human resources and Aaron Quah director of marketing. Previously, Brocarrdo was manager of salon operations with Ziba Beauty. Howell was district sales manager with Aeropostale, a casual apparel retailer. Meadows was director of human resources at Disney Store. Quah was vice president of business development for Ziba Beauty.

Laurence Whiting has been named vice president of Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. Whiting was previously director of off-site catering for Patina Restaurant Group.

Technology

DigiTrust Group LLC, a Westchester information security company, has hired Brett Gordon as director of business development. Gordon was previously vice president of business development at OnDemand Solutions, a software services company.

Curtis Thornhill has joined American Data Co., a Century City technology consulting firm, as vice president of consulting and operations. Thornhill was previously senior manager for online auction Web site eBay.
