Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. said Tuesday that it has been awarded a pair of contracts — one for a biotech research and training institute in Ireland and the other for a new diesel desulfurization facility in Texas.

Jacobs is one of three contractors who will design and develop a facility for the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research in Dublin, which will help biopharmaceutical companies learn best manufacturing practices. Jacobs will perform project management; architectural design; and civil, structural, mechanical and electrical services.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed

In the second contract, Jacobs will provide engineering, procurement and construction services for a Flint Hills Resources diesel desulfurization unit in Corpus Christi.

The unit will enable Flint Hills, a refining and petrochemical company, to upgrade low-value products into high-value products such as ultra-low sulfur diesel. The estimated cost for the overall project is more than $250 million, but the terms of Jacob’s contract were not disclosed.

Jacobs shares closed down $2.22, or 5 percent, to $39.14 in Tuesday trading on the New York Stock Exchange
