The Port of Los Angeles has named Ralph Hicks director of economic development and Karl Pan chief financial officer. Hicks was previously director of land use and planning for the San Diego Unified Port District. Pan was chief financial officer of Los Angeles World Airports.
Comerica Bank has donated $30,000 to AbilityFirst, a non-profit social service organization that helps people with physical and developmental disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, Down syndrome and other impairments. The money was used to sponsor a fundraising 5K marathon.
