Archint International, a Long Beach-based architectural firm, has named Anthony R. George principal partner of design and Bruce C. McVay principal partner of engineering. George joins Archint from George Architecture, in South Pasadena. McVay previously was at Bruce McVay Architects, a Long Beach firm.
RNL, an architectural firm, has hired Michael J. Hicks as national director of business development and managing principal, and Darrell Long as senior interior designer and senior associate, in its Los Angeles office. Hicks was previously business development director at PCL Construction. Long joins RNL from his own firm, Longdesign, in Virginia.
HKS Inc., a national and international architectural design firm, has promoted Stanley Klemanowicz, Juan Medrano, Martin Ortega, Barbara Ruppel and Randy Slane to associates, and Greg LaGrega, John Serdar and Brian Perkins to vice presidents in its Los Angeles office. Klemanowicz, Medrano, Ortega, Ruppel and Slane were previously forum members with the firm. LaGrega, Serdar and Perkins were associates.

Leang T. Ly has been named consultant at the Los Angeles office of Brandlin & Associates, an investigative accounting, financial consulting and strategic consulting services firm. Previously, Ly served as senior auditor of business and contract-risk services with Ernst & Young LLP.
IMG, a sports, entertainment and media company, has named Rob Lee head of programming for IMG Global Media in its Los Angeles office. Lee joins the company from his own production company, Bayonne Entertainment.
Doug Regan has been promoted to senior vice president of worldwide strategic planning and international finance of Warner Home Video. Regan previously served as vice president of Warner Bros. corporate business development and strategy.
Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center Marina Campus has named Bob Slay chief of staff. Slay was previously director of emergency services with the hospital.
Debra J. Perry has been appointed to the board of Korn/Ferry International, a Los Angeles-based executive recruitment firm. Perry was previously a senior managing director in the global rating and research unit of Moody's Investors Service Inc., an international company that provides credit ratings, research and risk analysis.
Whitney Guest Sisler has been appointed director of marketing for the Pacific Design Center. Sisler was previously a marketing freelancer for several designers.

The Los Angeles office of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, a national law firm, has hired Helen B. Kim as partner in its securities litigation practice, and Cynthia L. Canyon Capital Realty Advisors, a Beverly Hills-based real estate investor, has named Phil Angelides principal of the firm and chairman of Canyon-Johnson Urban Communities Fund, a fund created in partnership by Canyon and Earvin "Magic" Johnson. The fund focuses on acquiring, improving and making environmental improvements to residential rental and mixed-use properties in urban communities. Angelides was previously California state treasurer.

The S. Mark Taper Foundation has donated $170,000 to Five Acres, a Los Angeles-based child and family services agency providing therapeutic prevention, treatment and education programs to strengthen families and prevent child abuse. The S. Mark Taper Foundation was founded in 1989 as a private family foundation to enhance the quality of people's lives by supporting non-profit organizations and their work.
Kevin Marks has received Luis Lainer Founder's Award from Bet Tzedek Legal Services, a legal organization that provides free assistance to residents in the Los Angeles area. The award, named for one of the organization's founders, is Bet Tzedek's highest honor. Marks is a partner at Gang Tyre Ramer & Brown Inc., a Beverly Hills-based entertainment and related services firm. He also serves on Bet Tzedek's nominations, campaign and executive committees.
