Rubicon Project, a Santa Monica-based online advertising company, has named Bob Bennett vice president of product and engineering. Bennett was previously senior vice president of product development at Ticketmaster.

Wells Fargo of California Insurance Services has named Bryan Lorenz first vice president in the professional risk group at its Sherman Oaks office. Lorenz was previously area vice president for the Los Angeles office of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., an insurance brokerage and risk management firm.


Consulting

Richard A. Namerow has joined the Los Angeles office of Huron Consulting Group, a financial and operational consulting company, as managing director. Namerow previously served as a practice partner in global health solutions at Computer Sciences Corp.


Education

University of La Verne College of Law has named Juanda L. Daniel as interim associate dean and H. Randall Rubin as interim dean. Daniel was previously a law professor at the college. Rubin was associate dean.


Engineering

Twining Laboratories of Southern
California Inc., a Long Beach-based
engineering company, has hired Debanik Chaudhuri as chief geotechnical engineer. Chaudhuri was previously senior engineer with Exponent Failure Analysis Associates,
a consulting firm.


Entertainment

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group has named Chuck Dages executive vice president of emerging technology. Dages was previously executive vice president of emerging technology for
Warner Bros. Technical Operations.


Government

The Los Angeles Community Development Department has appointed Ninoos Benjamin head of the economic development division. Benjamin is chairman and chief executive of investment firm Mutual Capital Advisors, which specializes in real estate acquisition and development.


Teri M. Bialosky has been named vice president of the Los Angeles Board of Taxicab Commissioners. Bialosky is founder and president of Print Technology, which provides printed communications and branded merchandise management services.

Internet

George Zoffinger has been appointed to the board of FreeFi Networks, a Los Angeles-based company offering Internet access at large venues. Zoffinger was previously president and chief executive of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority.


Law

Proskauer Rose LLP, an international law firm, has named James C. Williams partner in its Los Angeles office. Williams was previously a partner in the Chicago office of McGuireWoods, an international firm.


Alan P. Jacobus has been promoted to partner at the Los Angeles office of
Carroll Burdick & McDonough LLP, a California-based law firm. Jacobus was previously an attorney at the firm.


Darren L. Hereford has joined Landmark Law Group Inc., a Century City-based firm, as an attorney. Hereford was previously a partner in real estate at Weston Benshoof, a California-based law firm.


Dreier Stein Kahan Browne Woods George LLP, a Santa Monica-based law firm, has hired Fred Griffin as partner. Griffin was previously a partner and head of the labor and employment department at Loeb & Loeb.


Media

Richard Cooperman has been hired as an editor at Crush Editorial, a Santa Monica post-production company specializing in TV commercials, film trailers and promotional content for video games. Cooperman was
previously a freelance editor.

Non-Profit

Brandy Little has been appointed board president of the Los Angeles chapter
of the Society for Marketing Professional Services, a non-profit that represents
marketing and business development professionals. Little oversees the
development of marketing and promotional activities for SKA Design, a South Pasadena design firm.

Public Relations

Mann & Associates, a Pasadena-based marketing communications and public
relations firm, has promoted Elisa Akiko Mann to vice president and chief operating officer. Mann was previously a consultant with the firm.


Real Estate

Playa Vista, a Westside Los Angeles development community, has promoted Randy Johnson and Patti Sinclair to
co-presidents, and Steve Soboroff to
chairman and chief executive. Johnson
was previously chief financial officer and senior vice president. Sinclair was general counsel and senior vice president. Soboroff was president.


Technology

Peter Godinez has been hired as director of technology sales and solutions by Imaging Technologies Direct, a specialist in print cartridges. Godinez was previously regional vice president of Realogy Corp. for California, a real estate services firm.


Transportation

Paula Adams has been named personnel director of Los Angeles World Airports. Previously, Adams served as LAWA's labor relations manager and equal employment opportunity manager.


KUDOS

Peter M. Gilhuly, a finance partner in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins LLP, has been named one of the American College of Bankruptcy's 2008 class of College Fellows. The American College of Bankruptcy is a Virginia-based honorary professional and education association. Gilhuly will be among 19 fellows honored at a ceremony in Washington, D.C., on March 15.


Real Estate Southern California Magazine has named Mary Jane Olhasso its first-ever Woman of the Year for her contributions to Ontario's positive business growth and development. Olhasso is economic development director of Ontario.
