ReachLocal Inc., a Woodland Hills-headquartered Internet marketing company, has hired Ross Landsbaum as chief financial officer and Adam Wergeles as general counsel. Landsbaum most recently served as chief financial officer and chief operating officer at Panavision, a company that provides services to global motion picture and television industries. Wergeles was chief legal officer at VendareNetblue, an online media company.

William H. Schenck has been named regional vice president and regional manager for Wells Fargo Commercial Banking's Warner Ranch regional commercial banking office in Woodland Hills. Most recently, Schenck was regional vice president for the Wells Fargo's Commercial Banking Office in Tacoma, Wash.


MastersFX, a character effects company headquartered in Arleta, has hired Mark Ballou as effects coordinator. Ballou was previously set coordinator and fabricator for KNB EFX Group, a Van Nuys special effects company.


Miriam Long has been appointed deputy mayor for education, youth and families. Long was previously a policy advisor to the Los Angeles County Supervisor Yvonne Burke on issues related to foster care, seniors, homelessness, early childhood development and child care.

The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, an independent city-county agency that addresses homelessness issues, has named Douglas E. Mirell its chairman. Mirell is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Loeb & Loeb LLP, a national law firm.


Wildman Harrold
has named James D. Nguyen partner in its Los Angeles office. Nguyen was formerly vice chairman of the intellectual property litigation practice in the Century City office of Foley & Lardner.

Phillip J. Eskenazi has joined the Los Angeles office of Hunton & Williams LLP as partner. Eskenazi was formerly a partner with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.

H. Scott Leviant has been named senior associate of the class action group at Khorrami Pollard & Abir LLP, a Los Angeles-based law firm. Previously, Leviant was a senior associate in the Los Angeles office of Arias Ozzello Gignac LLP, a Southern California-based law firm.

The Los Angeles office of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP has appointed Michael S. Hobel co-chairman of its entertainment and media practice. Hobel most recently served as a partner at the firm.

Miriam Vogel has been named senior of counsel in the Los Angeles office of Morrison & Foerster. Vogel previously served as California Court of Appeal Justice in the Second Appellate District, Division One.


Campos Creative Works, a Santa Monica-based marketing company, has hired Jan Miller as vice president of sales. Miller was formerly director of integrated communications at Pinnacle Exhibits, a Portland-based company that designs and builds trade show booths.


Villa Esperanza Services, a non-profit organization offering services to individuals with disabilities and their families, has appointed Kelly Adams, Joe W. DeFur, LaVonne Lawson, Janet Pasker and Marlon Wade to its board. Adams is first vice president of corporate administration at East West Bank's headquarters in Pasadena. DeFur is executive vice president of private client services for Wells Fargo Bank. Lawson has her own tax law firm. Pasker is director of the business customer division at Southern California Edison. Wade is chief information officer for Madison Business Consulting Group.

Kevin Beggs has been named president of the Hollywood Radio and Television Society's board. Beggs is president of television programming and production for Lions Gate, a Santa Monica studio.


Roxanne Motamedi has been promoted
to senior executive director of entertainment in the Los Angeles office of Getty Images. Motamedi was most recently executive director of entertainment with
the company.

Mark Robinson has been promoted to senior managing director at the West Los Angeles office of Studley, an international commercial real estate services firm. Robinson was previously corporate managing director.
