JM Eagle to Move HQ to L.A.

JM Eagle, the world’s largest plastic pipe manufacturer, said it is moving its headquarters to Los Angeles as the company moves to consolidate its call center and get closer to its Asian suppliers, JM Eagle said Monday.

JM Eagle, which is currently based in Livingston, N.J., said the move will be gradual and should be complete by next year. The company did not say how many jobs it will bring to the Los Angeles area.

The decision was driven by the fact that many of its plants are in the western half of the United States. Being on the West Coast will give the company easier and more efficient access to key suppliers in Asia, the company said.

JM Eagle makes pipes used for water, electrical wires, fiber-optic lines, plumbing, construction and agricultural uses.
