Computer Sciences Corp. said Tuesday that it was awarded a contract from the U.S. Air Force valued as much as $820 million.
The contract will have the El Segundo-based information technology firm manage radar, meteorological and global tracking systems for the Air Force’s Eastern Range space command center in Florida. The contract is a joint venture with Raytheon Corp.
The contract is for 10 months with nine one-year options.
Computer Sciences’ shares rose 73 cents to $56.68 at 9:37 a.m. in New York Stock Exchange composite trading. They had gained 4.8 percent this year before today.
