Early Days/Financing:

I am 36 years old now but I’ve had companies since I was 17 years old. When most of my friends were in school, business is what I was doing. I stopped going to school basically in the 10th grade. I started buying and selling cars with $2,000 in my pocket and parlayed that into starting different businesses, and I sold them and then moved into real estate. I reinvested that money into this business. At first I was going it alone. I started buying and fixing up houses, apartments, hotels and shopping centers; it just steamrolled.

Biggest Challenge:

We move pretty fast, and obviously because we move fast we have to be able to be accurate and make sure we are making precise moves. The biggest challenge has been finding the right people who can work at the same speed as the company moves. We’ve had to go through a lot of people to find the right people. We have 200 employees including the management company.

Secret of Success:

I love doing what I do, I have a passion for it. It gives me energy all day to do what I love doing doing deals.

What’s Next: Casinos.

We are in the process of trying to acquire a couple of casinos in Las Vegas and open a hotel-casino division. We will put together a management team to run the assets.
