RNL has hired Carlos Alvarado and Thanong Poonteerakul as project coordinators in its Los Angeles office. Also, Patrick Winters was promoted to associate principal and Victoria Dolsen, Elias Escobar, and Stephanie Oestreich were promoted to associates. Alvarado was previously a job captain at architectural company WWCOT in Santa Monica. Poonteerakul was a junior planner at architectural firm Edaw Inc. in Irvine. Winters was an associate at RNL; Dolsen was a designer; and Escobar and Oestreich were project coordinators.

HSBC Bank USA has hired Kathryn Benjamin as a credit analyst at its Los Angeles office. Benjamin most recently attended the USC Marshall School of Business.
Stuart Greenberg has joined investment banking firm Jesup & Lamont Securities Corp. as regional director of business development and registered principal of its Los Angeles office. Greenberg was formerly managing director of DT Securities Ltd.
Textron Financial Corp., a commercial finance company, has hired Michael Rosenheck as vice president of business development in the business credit division in Los Angeles. Rosenheck was previously director of Gordon Bros. Asset Advisors.
Jay S. Wintrob has been elected to the board of California Institute of Technology. Wintrob is president and chief executive of AIG Retirement Services Inc. an insurance company.
Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management has appointed Cindy Ayloush to its board of visitors. Ayloush is currently executive vice president and chief financial officer of Hydraflow, a Fullerton-based systems components engineering company for the aerospace and defense industry.
Fox Reality, a subsidiary of Fox Television Networks, has promoted David Lyle to president. Also, Bob Boden was promoted to senior vice president, programming, production and development. Lorey Zlotnick was promoted to senior vice president, marketing and on-air promotions. Lyle was previously chief operating officer and general manager for the company. Boden and Zlotnick were vice presidents.
Susan E. Arnold has been elected independent director of Walt Disney Co. Arnold is vice chairwoman of Procter & Gamble Co.'s P & G; Beauty and Health. Also, Lowell Singer has been named senior vice president for investor relations of Disney. Singer was most recently with Cowen and Co. LLC, an investor relations company, as senior research analyst and managing director.
First Look Studios, a film distribution and production company, has hired Dean Wilson as chief operating officer. Wilson was previously head of business development at Blockbuster Inc., a retail movie distributor.
Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc., an entertainment and technology company, has hired Lisa DiMarzio as senior vice president for partner marketing, and Jodi A. Gusek as senior vice president for corporate research. DiMarzio was most recently president of Link Entertainment Marketing. Gusek was formerly with Frank N. Magid Associates as vice president for entertainment research and new media consulting.
E! Networks, an entertainment television network, has hired Damla Dogan as vice president of original programming and series development for E! Entertainment Television. Dogan was formerly director of series development and original programming at VH1, a music and entertainment television network.
G4, a gaming and animation technology company for male entertainment, has promoted Josh Krane to senior vice president, interactive and new media. Krane was previously vice president, interactive and new media.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has appointed Adrian Farley of Los Angeles as deputy secretary of management and operations for the State and Consumer Services Agency. Farley was previously deputy cabinet secretary for the governor's office.
Vince Bertoni has been appointed director of community development for the city of Beverly Hills. Bertoni was most recently acting director of community development.
Mark Wilbur has been named president and chief executive of Employers Group, an employer-sponsored human resource management association. Wilbur was previously associate dean of the Marshall School of Business at USC.
Diane Jaffee, senior portfolio manager at TCW Group Inc., received a 2007 Separately Managed Accounts Award in the large cap equity category from Standard & Poor's. TCW Managing Director Claude Erb and Duke University's Campbell Harvey won the Graham and Dodd Award for a research paper on investing in commodity futures.
Michael and Linda Keston donated $2 million to the USC Keston School for Policy, Planning and Development. The institute, established in 2002 with the Keston's support, will use the funds to expand its work in public finance and infrastructure policy.
