Cherokee Extends Target Deal

Cherokee Inc. said Monday that it has extended its licensing agreement with Target Corp. through January 2009.


Van Nuys-based Cherokee Inc. licenses several clothing brands including Cherokee, Side Out and Carole Little. Royalties derived from Cherokee sales at Target accounted for 47 percent of the company’s consolidated revenues last year.


Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.


Shares in Cherokee were down 24 cents to $42.20 in afternoon trading Monday on the Nasdaq.
